Honours in Language Technology is undertaken in the Department of
Computing as a specialist strand within the Department's
Honours Program. See the Department's

for general information about the Honours Program. Here, we provide
additional information about features that are unique to the Language
Technology
strand.

Students who have not already
taken both of
Comp348 and Comp349 are strongly encouraged to take these units
during their honours year.
- Students should take Comp448, Advanced Topics in Natural
Language Processing, and are encouraged to take other honours
units that focus on language technology topics. See our
short descriptions of the

Language Technology units.
- Staff with interests in Language Technology offer a broad
range of
honours project topics that focus on this area.
- Students are expected to attend weekly meetings of the Language
Technology Group.
- Students should endeavour to attend all seminars in the SALS-SIG
and HAIL Seminar series. Your written reports will typically be on
seminars
presented in these series.
