Abstract:
This system is an intelligent assistant for e-mail delivery and personal information management.
It has three functions: delivery of urgent e-mail messages using available communication tools, such as phones, faxes, and pagers; summarizing e-mail messages for reading summarized messages by phone or displaying them on pagers; and extracting schedule information (e.g. event date, event location, etc.) and sender information (e.g. name, organization etc.) using layout information and language expressions of e-mail messages for registering them on the receiver's scheduler and address book. In this talk, I give an overview of the assistant system, in particular the method to extract schedule and sender information.Enquiries: swilliam@mri.mq.edu.au
