Abstract:
The seminar will take a short look at the theory and experience of parsing and translating prepositional phrases in a full-scale Indonesian to English MT system.
The talk will look briefly at the role of the preposition in Indonesian, and will focus on our experience of moving from a purely theoretical basis to an multi-aspect implementation which achieves both an efficient parse and a good English translation.Enquiries: sals@mri.mq.edu.au
